Rotary was founded by Paul Harris, a lawyer, and three business associates in Chicago USA on 23rd February 1905. It is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Since 1957, Paul Harris Fellows have been recognised to express appreciation for their contributions to the humanitarian and educational programs of The Rotary Foundation and it is quite the achievement to receive one.
Today Nick Romeo of The Rotary Club of Liverpool Greenway presented our very own Grace Fava OAM with her 2ND Paul Harris Fellow!
This news would not come as a surprise to those who know Grace. We all know how an honour like this recognises the amazing work Grace and hours of advocacy she provides to the community. There was however one surprised person, Grace herself!
I’m sure if I hadn’t asked what the medal on her desk was for, she would have just gone back to helping those who need it the most, not making a fuss but still quietly appreciating the acknowledgement from Rotary. Because that is who Grace is, humble, kind, generous, passionate and most of all dedicated. Dedicated to the people in her community (and beyond) who access the service she created some 15 years ago.
We would like to thank the members of The Rotary Club of Liverpool Greenway for their continued support of Autism Advisory & Support Service and for the honor of awarding Grace her 2nd Paul Harris Fellow – It is truly appreciated by Grace and the Team.
