What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides individualised support for people with disability, their families and carers. The NDIS is designed to give people with a disability more choice and control over the supports and services they need.
The NDIS provides eligible people a flexible, whole-of-life approach to the support needed to pursue their goals and aspirations and participate in daily life.
AASS is a registered NDIS service provider
The NDIS rolled out in South West Sydney on 1 July, 2016. AASS can answer your questions and provide assistance with your transition or entry into the NDIS.
It is important that you start considering your NDIS first year plan early in order to give you enough time to prepare adequately for your planning meeting.
Our staff can meet with you to discuss the NDIS and how it can help you with achieving your goals while accessing the services and supports for now and in the future. We can assist you in considering your future goals, aspirations and desired outcomes, and what supports and services are reasonable and necessary to achieve this.
AASS provides Support Coordination to NDIS participants who are funded for this support. Support Coordination a service that supports NDIS participants to get the most out of their support plans. We work closely with you and your family or carers to find the most effective way to achieve the goals in your NDIS which gives you choice and control of your disability supports. We also seek to build your capacity to manage your NDIS more independently in the future. Our Support Coordinators are committed to providing nonpartisan support to find the best outcome for every individual.
We are a team with extensive experience in disability support, in particular Autism. AASS has been supporting families for over twelve years and we are passionate about empowering children and adults with Autism and their families though knowledge and support.
We charge only for the time it takes to service your needs. We are happy to meet with you at no charge to see if our Support Coordination services suit your need. We provide Support Coordination across South West Sydney in NSW.
