Celebrate Neurodiversity with “Some Brains”

Parents, Carers and Educators!

We have an exciting book in the Autism Advisory And Support Service Sensory Shop that we think you and your kids will love. It’s called “Some Brains,” and it’s written by the hilarious Australian comedian, Nelly Thomas and Illustrated by Cat MacInnes.

“Some Brains” is a beautiful and funny book that inspires kids to celebrate and understand neurodiversity. Whether it’s autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or other unique ways of thinking, this book shows that all kids are special and should follow their hearts.

The book starts with the idea that neurodiversity is a natural and important part of our human biodiversity. Just like how some kids are great at sports or music, some kids see the world in ways others don’t. And that’s a wonderful thing!

Nelly Thomas uses her humour and warmth to create a story that not only entertains but also educates. It’s perfect for helping children understand that everyone’s brain works differently, and that’s what makes the world so interesting.

So, come by our shop and grab a copy of “Some Brains.” It’s a great way to teach kids about the beauty of different minds and to celebrate every child’s unique perspective.

Happy reading!
