On Friday 16 August 2025 at 7:30pm, Are You Pulling My Leg? will take the stage at The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Sutherland. This bold and original production is created and performed by RUCKUS, a Sydney-based ensemble of artists with disability.
Through humour, personal stories and sharp insight, Are You Pulling My Leg? challenges audiences to rethink assumptions and attitudes around disability. The work is drawn from real-life experiences of the performers themselves – nothing about it is exaggerated or softened. It’s raw, truthful, and at times unexpectedly funny.
The performance has been developed through a professional creative process, led by artists with disability in collaboration with theatre makers. It runs for 1 hour and 40 minutes including an interval, and is suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
This is not a show asking for sympathy. It’s a space to hear real voices, reflect on everyday barriers, and see people with disability leading the conversation on stage.
