
While this event is not organised by Autism Advisory and Support Service, we’re pleased to share details of a valuable initiative currently running for women in several communities across Sydney.
The CABL Family Support Program, in partnership with Lighthouse Law Group Solicitors, is offering a series of free legal clinics and free information sessions designed to support women going through separation, parenting challenges, and related legal matters. These events are available to women living in Burwood, Strathfield, Canada Bay LGAs and the suburbs of Dulwich Hill, Ashbury, Haberfield, Ashfield, and Dobroyd Point.
What’s On Offer?
Free Legal Clinics for Women
These monthly clinics provide confidential legal advice on:
- Parenting orders and custody arrangements
- Child support matters
- Family law and separation advice
- Navigating the legal system
Dates (10 AM – 1 PM, by appointment only): 18 June, 16 July, 13 August, 10 September, 8 October, 5 November – 2025

Legal support is provided by Jane Farquhar of the Lighthouse Law Group, who holds a Master of Family Law and is experienced in assisting women with legal issues around separation and family matters.

Hour of Power – Free Information Sessions
In addition to legal clinics, a four-part series of group information sessions is being offered to help women understand their rights and prepare for life after separation.
Session Schedule (10 AM – 11 AM):
- 4 June: Know Your Legal Rights
- 2 July: Understanding Child Support
- 30 July: Take Charge of Your Finances
- 27 August: Caring for Your Wellbeing
These sessions cover practical topics such as financial independence, legal entitlements, and mental health support. They’re confidential, welcoming, and run by professionals including lawyers, divorce coaches, and wellbeing advocates.

Both the clinics and sessions are free of charge and open to all women going through separation. If you or someone you know needs help understanding legal options, navigating child support, or just finding a way forward — these events offer real support in a safe space.
