What is Mental Health?
Mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how you think, feel, and behave. It also helps determine how you handle stress, make choices & relate to others. It is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Current evidence reports that around 50–70% of autistic people also experience mental health conditions. There is also emerging evidence to suggest that autistic women and girls experience higher rates of mental illness than autistic men and boys.
