Psychologist
Az is a dedicated and passionate Registered Psychologist with significant experience in behaviour and psychological intervention. Holding current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Az has worked extensively with individuals diagnosed with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and a range of mental health experiences including but not limited to Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).Â
Az is driven by a deep commitment to helping individuals reach their goals and navigate life’s challenges. With a strong foundation of experience and training, Az strives to support as many people as possible in achieving positive mental health outcomes. This dedication has also led to leadership roles within NDIS providers, where Az also helped train provisional psychologists to better serve their clients.
Therapy: Az takes a compassionate and integrative approach to therapy, drawing on methods such as Trauma-Informed Therapy, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Az is committed to tailoring therapy to the unique needs of each client, creating a safe and supportive environment that empowers individuals to achieve their personal goals and enhance their well-being.
Assessment: Az offers comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, including Autism diagnostic assessments, mental health evaluations, and cognitive testing. All assessments are conducted using a neurodiversity-affirming approach, ensuring respect and validation for each individual’s unique profile and strengths.
