Art Therapist and the Young Adult Social Group Coordinator

Habib works with the AASS team as a registered Art Therapist and a Young Adult Social Group Coordinator. Habib has over 25 years of experience in the Visual Arts sector working both locally and internationally. His own art works are held in private and public collections worldwide. Habib’s vision is to offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment for clients to explore and work through their internal emotions, thoughts, and memories using the power of art therapy. With a focus on person-centred services, he is dedicated to establishing continuous development and recovery for all clients, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Habib’s approach allows individuals with ASD to express themselves in a nonverbal way, communicate their thoughts and feelings, and develop social skills and emotional regulation, leading to emotional and social growth. Habib is the founder of Allied Art Therapy which is an Australian provider of Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Mental Health Services.
