Nick King – Occupational Therapist

Nick earned his Honours Degree from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom and developed his practice in the NHS with experience in general medicine, mental health and dementia, prior to settling into paediatrics. Nick has a depth of experience gained from working with people across the lifespan in hospitals, community settings, mainstream and special schools in the UK and for private practices here in Australia.

Nick has received training in occupational therapy specific models such as Allen’s Cognitive Disability Model and the Vona du Toit Model of Creative ability which greatly influence his approach, and is also a qualified Bringing up Great Kids Facilitator.

Nick has a keen interest in understanding family dynamics when working with children and young people, he is passionate about evidence-based practice and employing neuro-affirmative principles to empower clients and their families to make positive change
