Diagnosis and Assessment
Our therapists can work with an individual to diagnose, assess and provide therapy as appropriate.
Sensory tools are specifically useful for engaging attention both cognitively and physically by stimulating one or more of the five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Sensory toys help improve concentration and attention to tasks by allowing the brain to filter out the extra sensory information (e.g. listening to a lesson in the classroom, paying attention to a book).
Calming tools help people with autism to relax in stress-inducing situations.
