Resourcing Inclusive Communities is an initiative of Family Advocacy that provides information and resources to assist people with disability to live meaningful lives, as valued members of their communities and they are extending invites to the Strength in Community: Family Gathering, a unique event designed to bring together people with disability and their families for meaningful discussions and connection. This is an opportunity to share experiences, exchange ideas, and explore ways to create truly inclusive communities.
This gathering places people with disability and their families at the centre of every conversation, ensuring that lived experiences and practical strategies lead the way in advocating for inclusion and driving real change. By engaging in open discussions and collaborative activities, participants will gain valuable insights, build relationships, and discover new ways to strengthen inclusion in their communities.
Rather than a traditional conference setting, this event is designed to be interactive and engaging, focusing on connection and collaboration rather than just listening. By joining others with shared experiences, you’ll find encouragement, mutual support, and a sense of belonging.

Who Should Attend?
This event is for families who advocate with and, at times, on behalf of a family member with disability. It welcomes people with disability, their friends, and allies who contribute to their inclusion in the community.
Please note: This event is not designed for professional support workers or service providers attending in a work capacity.
