A Free Cultural Mindfulness Training will be delivered in early 2026 by;

Inclusive and Diverse Communities Incorporated (IDC) – A secular non-profit independent community based and managed organisation, IDC works to support, resource, and advocate for the diverse communities in South West Sydney to bring about positive social change and improve the lives of the most vulnerable.

The Indian (Sub-Cont) Crisis & Support Agency (ICSA) – The Indian (Sub-Cont) Crisis & Support Agency (ICSA) the first NGO in Australia for South Asian Communities was established as a response to the gaps and inadequate support systems.

Who are these Workshops for?

These workshops are suitable for aged care workers and service managers, frontline community workers, policy makers, service development officers and health workers. The content is relevant for professionals working directly with clients as well as those involved in service planning, program design and community engagement.

The training is delivered in two parts across February 2026.

Part 1

Will be held on Tuesday 10 February 2026 from 9.30am to 12.30pm and focuses on working with CALD communities through a cultural lens.

Part 2

Will take place on Tuesday 17 February 2026 from 9.30am to 12.30pm and builds on the first session, including a soft introduction to Pacific Islander communities.

Both sessions aim to support culturally mindful practice through practical strategies that can be applied in professional settings.

Location

The workshops will be held at the Bryan Brown Theatre and Function Centre, Lansdowne Room 1, located at 80 Rickard Road, Bankstown NSW 2200.

Morning tea will be provided. Bookings are essential and participants are required to register directly with the organisers using the registration links provided in the flyer.
