Parenting in today’s world can feel like a constant balancing act. Between understanding your child’s development, managing screen time, and figuring out what supports are available, it’s easy to feel stretched and unsure where to start.
A free parent workshop is coming up that brings all of these pieces together in a way that’s practical and easy to follow. It’s designed for real families, with real questions, and focuses on what actually helps day to day.
Child development is one of the key areas covered. Every child grows at their own pace, and it’s not always clear what’s within the expected range and what might need a bit more attention. Having a clearer understanding of developmental milestones can help take some of the guesswork out of things. It also makes it easier to decide when to seek extra support and what that might look like.
How screen use connects with a child’s brain development
Screen time is another big topic many families are navigating. Screens are part of everyday life, and for some children they can be both helpful and hard to manage. This workshop looks at how screen use connects with a child’s brain development and offers realistic, manageable strategies for keeping things in balance without adding pressure.
There’s also a strong focus on understanding available supports, including NDIS funding and local services. For many parents and carers, this is often the most confusing part. Breaking it down into clear information can make it feel far more approachable and help families take the next step with a bit more confidence.
Connect with others
Just as important is the chance to connect with others. Being around parents and carers who understand your experiences can make a big difference. Sometimes it’s not just about the information, but about feeling heard and supported in the process.
This workshop is a great option for anyone wanting a better understanding of child development, guidance around screen use, and clearer information about supports available for their child.
