Researchers at Griffith University are running a study looking at parental acceptance and understanding of autistic children, and they’re currently looking for parents to take part. We’re sharing this on behalf of the study’s research team, not as organisers of the study ourselves… so if you have questions about taking part, please contact the researchers directly using the details below.
What the study is about
The study is looking at the experiences and wellbeing of parents raising autistic children, and how different parental factors relate to acceptance and understanding of autism. The aim is to build a clearer picture of what support parents actually need.
What’s involved
Taking part means filling out a short online survey, which takes about 20-25 minutes. It covers your experiences as a parent of an autistic child.
Who can take part
You can participate if you:
- Are over 18
- Are a parent, guardian, or carer of an autistic child under 18
- Are Australian or currently living in Australia
Is there anything in it for you?
Participants who complete the survey go into a prize draw for one of two $50 Prezzee Smart eGift Cards, as a thank you for their time.
