CORE Community Services

CORE Community Services are a not-for-profit community organisation who have been operating in Southwest Sydney for almost 40 years. Previously known as Cabramatta Community Centre, they re-branded in 2015 to CORE Community Services to highlight their dedication to all local communities in Southwest Sydney.

Their 5 Key Service Areas

Core Community Services provide local communities in Southwest Sydney with a wide range of services, activities and programs across the following five key service areas.

  • Aged & Disability Care
  • Children’s Services
  • Multicultural Communities
  • Youth Services
  • Community Centres

Youth Frontiers

Within their Youth Services is Youth Frontiers, an early intervention youth mentoring program which supports girls aged 10-17 years who are AT RISK or have been in contact with the justice and child protection systems.

Examples of factors considered “at risk” and hence eligible for a referral includes – disengagement from school; school suspension/expulsion; family domestic violence; gang affiliations; family involvement in crime; trauma; run in with police; etc.

How does Youth Frontiers Benefit participants

1 on 1 Mentoring: FREE 1:1 Mentoring Mentees will be supported with weekly 1:1 and group mentoring for up to a year
Personal Development: Support to develop life skills, improve wellbeing, and build connections within the community
Take agency: Build supportive relationships, motivation, resilience and the confidence to take control of your life.
