Nature, a place of mindfulness and healing

Walking, we do it everyday, but for some walking is just a means of transport while for others it’s for enjoyment.

Not only can walking for an average of 30 minutes a day lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, walking regularly has been proven to:

  • Help you be more active.
  • Improve your mood.
  • Reduce feelings of stress or anger.
  • Improve your physical health.
  • Help you take time out and feel more relaxed.
  • Improve your confidence and self-esteem.

Headspace Bankstown and The University of Sydney recently sent AASS information on their upcoming Nearby Nature Event which we think is such a great idea and it’s free and open to all 12-25 year olds.
