Upcoming Workshops with Affirming Access

About Affirming Access

Affirming Access is all about creating a space where you can just be yourself.

They run creative workshops for autistic and neurodivergent young people in the LGBTIQA+SB community. These sessions are relaxed, flexible, and centred around choice. Think art, design, making things, and trying new ideas in a way that doesn’t feel pressured or overwhelming.

You can join in activities, take a break when you need to, do your own thing, or just hang out. There’s no expectation to perform or “fit in” a certain way. Everything is shaped by lived experience, with a focus on comfort, creativity, and respect for different ways of being.

Upcoming workshops

Affirming Access has a range of upcoming creative sessions happening across different community spaces in NSW. Each workshop has its own focus, but all are built around the same idea: you choose how you take part.

What to expect

These workshops are not structured classes where you have to keep up or do things a certain way. You can come and go from activities, take breaks when needed, or simply sit and be part of the space without creating.

Everything is designed to support choice and comfort. There is no pressure to talk, participate in every activity, or explain yourself. You are welcome as you are.

Registering and more information

All workshop details and registrations are available through Humanitix, where you can view times, locations, and book your place.

Autism Advisory and Support Service are not the organisers or point of contact for these workshops.
Any questions or bookings should be directed to Affirming Access or through the Humanitix event listings.
