We know that finding free school holiday programs that cater to children with disabilities can be challenging for families. Which is why we always like to share programs and services that we come across with our followers.
Who are Collective Leisure?
Collective Leisure is a certified social enterprise “business for good” with a mission to reduce health inequity within our communities.
Founded by David Burns and Jennifer Barker-Burns in 2019 from a deep sense of social justice, the awareness that global health and well-being are tracking poorly, and the desire to create a sustainable social enterprise.
This coming January, Collective Leisure has a range of FREE All Abilities School Holidays Programs designed for school-aged children and young people with a disability, as well as their siblings. These programs are especially designed for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities, but all are welcome to join.
Collective Leisure work closely with local governments, health districts, and community partners to co-design programs that empower young people through inclusive physical activities and well-being initiatives. Each activity is tailored to help participants build confidence, improve their health, and create lasting friendships in a supportive environment.
From trying out new sports to enjoying creative group games, there’s something for everyone. This program is a fantastic way to stay active, make connections, and have fun these holidays.
