What is Head to Health?
Through co-design and collaboration with Primary Health Networks (PHNs) and local communities, Neami is delivering Adult Mental Health Centres, known as Head to Health services, across Australia including our local suburb of Liverpool. It is a free and confidential service offering caring, safe, and inclusive support for people experiencing distress, or who are worried about themselves or someone they care about.
Do you need a referral?
No referral or Medicare card is needed to access the Head to Health services however referrals from GPs, mental health services, community services, carers, families and loved ones are accepted. The Head to Health team consists of a wide range of mental health professionals, including clinicians and peer support workers, with a lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery.
The service can provide:
- immediate help to reduce distress
- help to safely cope with thoughts of suicide
- help to navigate through a crisis
- support to improve your wellbeing
- help to connect with ongoing support.
- offer support for carers and families of people experiencing distress.
Liverpool Head to Health will be opening a purpose-built Centre in August 2023
The service is currently available from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday & Individuals can call 1800 595 212 when they need support.
