Karitane, who are well known for their professional development and training on parent-child interaction therapy and who have also been providing services for over 100 years are holding an 8-week parent course titled “Being a Parent.”
This course is for parents with children aged 0 – 12 and will give you practical communication skills for everday life to raise happy and confident children.
Topics covered in this course include:
- Accepting & acknowledging feelings
- Labels and praise
- Discipline strategies
- understanding children’s behaviours
- Listening and communication skills
