At first glance, Somewhere Nice might look like your local friendly op shop and café — a warm place to grab a coffee, find a pre-loved treasure, or enjoy a chat with our welcoming team. But behind the scenes, something powerful is happening.
It was created to be more than just an op shop and café — it’s a welcoming place where people feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger. The shop is an extension of Autism Advisory & Support Service (AASS), which has been proudly supporting the Liverpool community since 2007.
Every purchase made here supports the amazing work that AASS offers to individuals and families in our community.
Where Learning and Purpose Meet
Somewhere Nice is also a learning hub. Through our Work Prep Connect & Career Explorer programs, students develop real-world skills while being supported by TAFE teachers and our experienced staff.
When a student learns to use a till, stock a shelf, or greet a customer confidently — that’s personal growth with long-term impact. And your purchase helps make that possible.
Right now, enrolments are open for Term 3 of our Work Prep Connect program — a hands-on initiative that gives neurodivergent students practical work skills and experience in hospitality, retail, and teamwork within a safe, supportive environment.
